Week 2 - Activity

Today, our goal is to acquire as much info and concepts to implement on the full scale bogie.
We mounted the white board in the room.
Based on the Futran video and image in our presentation, we have one concept.

Dan proposed an idea of how the Futran system works during last lecture as the following picture shows.

A small gap will occur when second lane shows. As long as the gap is small, it shouldn't cause any major safety problem. Also the cart will run in a relative high speed, therefore the damp caused by changing lane shouldn't make the passenger uncomfortable. 

A CAD model or PDF file for the dimensions of the track and bogie are yet to be acquired.
