Week 5 report

This week, we have few designs from Futran. With these designs we can continue working on the improvements we have been talking for the last few weeks. Right now, we don't have a new sketch for new designs yet.
Contingency may occur due to the delay in shipment and drawings from Futran. Therefore, we must plan for ideal components and measurements for our bogie. Instead of going for an 18 meter track, we are to do a 9 meter track due to the delay. The bogie is our main concern so we will focus on its design.
So far we will stick with two bogies. the front bogie will be a hybrid of a master and slave system, with the drive wheel in front and then the second bogie is just a full slave system. The idea behind this is to maintain stability during switches. We have ideas for wheels and motor but will confirm their specs.
Based on our Gantt chart, we will start making drawings on Solidworks. the job for Wednesday meeting is to revise the current sketch we have, make modify based on Futran's design, have an overall dimension and agree with tack team. In general, we hope to have a general design like this drawing.
