Week 6 - Potential Designs

We have been looking for motors to use but one we've theoretically chosen, due to its specifications, costs around $6500, by DC brushless motors. With the given RPM we've translated it to a larger diameter and based that calculation on our ideal speed.
Another design has been proposed. It requires a third rail to be implemented throughout the track on the top as an angle iron rail. This will supposedly act as a guide and steerer for the bogie. Ideally, one side will become stiff so that one the turn or straight comes, the pod will lean on that perspective side. There is still a lot more room for improvement as it can possibly malfunction in the way that both sides become stiff.

One way to maintain stability and comfort is to apply joints between the connection of the bogie and the pod. This can potentially remove any vibrations that the bogie and track produces.
